The Office of the Town Clerk

  1. Administration & Staff Management
  2. Oversees departmental coordination, HR and payroll management, records systems, benefits, and staff training
  3. Strategic Planning & Technical Leadership
  4. Chairs the Technical Planning Committee and supports physical planning, procurement, office maintenance, and environmental upkeep
  5. Community & Development Programmes
  6. Led local development initiatives like PDM to support micro-enterprises. Engages on major infrastructure projects including the five‑year World Bank-backed master plan for roads and market upgrades
  7. Infrastructure & Land Valuation
  8. Manages negotiations, eviction concerns, and mapping of land issues. Ensures legal and land-title compliance before triggering infrastructure investments (e.g. central market). Actively liaises with the Chief Government Valuer and the Public Accounts Committee regarding land evaluation delays.
  9. Stakeholder Coordination & Conflict Management
  10. Serves as liaison between Mayor’s office, councilors, higher government bodies, security agencies (e.g. SFC) and external agencies like UCAA
