The Council provides a range of services including:
✔️ Urban planning and development control

✔️ Road maintenance and infrastructure development
✔️ Issuance of trading licenses
✔️ Public health and sanitation services

To apply for a trading license:

  1. Visit the Municipal Council Revenue Office.

  2. Fill out the trading license application form.

  3. Submit necessary documents, including your business registration certificate.

  4. Pay the applicable fees.

  5. Your license will be issued after verification and approval.


The current Mayor of Entebbe is His Worship Rulinda Fabrice Brad. He oversees political leadership and works with the Council to ensure effective service delivery to residents.

Residents are encouraged to participate in community meetings, clean-up exercises, and council-organized programs. For more information, visit the Community Development Office at the Municipal Council.

Before constructing a building, you must:
✔️ Submit architectural plans to the Physical Planning Department.
✔️ Obtain clearance from relevant departments (Health, Environment, etc.).
✔️ Pay the applicable fees.
✔️ Receive an official Building Permit before commencing construction.

Property owners are required to:

  1. Visit the Revenue or Land Office with proof of ownership.

  2. Fill the property registration forms.

  3. Property assessments will be conducted.

  4. Pay the applicable property rates.

  5. Registration is completed upon verification.

Garbage collection schedules vary by zone. To know your specific collection days, contact the office of the municipal health inspector.

The Council operates and supports two health centres namely Kigungu Health Center III and Katabi Health Center III  and works with government facilities like Entebbe General Referal Hospital. You can visit the nearest health centre for treatment, immunization, or health information.
