The Office of the Town Clerk
- Administration & Staff Management Oversees departmental coordination, HR and payroll management, records systems, benefits, and staff training
- Strategic Planning & Technical Leadership Chairs the Technical Planning Committee and supports physical planning, procurement, office maintenance, and environmental upkeep
- Community & Development Programmes Led local development initiatives like PDM to support micro-enterprises. Engages on major infrastructure projects including the five‑year World Bank-backed master plan for roads and market upgrades
- Infrastructure & Land Valuation Manages negotiations, eviction concerns, and mapping of land issues. Ensures legal and land-title compliance before triggering infrastructure investments (e.g. central market). Actively liaises with the Chief Government Valuer and the Public Accounts Committee regarding land evaluation delays.
- Stakeholder Coordination & Conflict Management Serves as liaison between Mayor’s office, councilors, higher government bodies, security agencies (e.g. SFC) and external agencies like UCAA
